Introduction
Learn About America, Inc. is an exempt Federal Income Tax public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code, as of July 5, 2006. As a public charity, the organization is qualified to received tax-deductible bequests, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to Learn About America are deductible under section 170 of the Code.
One of the major proposals of Learn About America will be to further the public's knowledge of the foundations and history of America. In the pursuit of the charity's goals, there is a program for the distribution of educational information and materials on the nation and each of the fifty states of the Union. The content matter will be based primarily on educational merit, and most materials will be presented in such a way that it will be interesting for school children to read.
The organization's Founders, Robert and Barbara Shangle, are well versed in the production of these types of materials, having been involved in similar types of work for over thirty-three years.
The major purpose of the efforts of the corporation will be directed within the United States, with an international version of the program to be known as "World Peace and Understanding." It is the Founders' belief that the more the international community of nations know about America, the greater the opportunity will be for world peace and understanding to have true meaning.
The Learn About America program will be partially self-supporting, with the balance of necessary funds to be supplemented by donations.
Any form of support, whether monetary, spiritual or moral will be well rewarded.
